AAA-SF playoff brackets
WED 8/25 (12:30AM) -- Pretty straightforward next round...
MON 8/16 (1:15PM) -- Here's the latest and greatest for 8/22. Pretty straightforward except in the Losers Bracket, there might not be that many teams for 8/29 depending on the Airballers/JRich result -- we'll adjust it as needed later. I hope we can have the championship on 9/5 depending on who plays, but if there are teams playing in Vegas, then we'll have to play it by ear because that could push out a potential Repeat Championship all the way to 9/26. By then, it won't even be summer anymore!
AAA-SF playoff seedings
MON 8/9 (11:59PM) -- Here are the playoff seedings heading into 8/15...
- Frisco's Finest (5-2) -- won h2h vs ESF, won Eastern Conf, won h2h vs LBA
- Low Blow Adobo (5-2) -- won h2h vs Pcat, won Western Conf, lost h2h vs FriF
- Elite (SF) (5-2) -- lost h2h vs FriF, tied common opp (5-2) vs Pcat, won s-o-v (6.2) vs Pcat
- Poorcats (5-2) -- lost h2h vs LBA, tied common opp (5-2) vs ESF, lost s-o-v (3.4) vs ESF
- JRich23.com (4-2)
- Bay Hype AAA (3-4) -- won head-to-head vs GldB
- Golden Ballaz (3-4) -- lost head-to-head vs BHA
- Air Ballers (1-6)
- Bad News (0-7)
Here are the tiebreakers explained...
- We adopt the NFL wildcard tiebreaker rules.
- In the NFL, they tiebreak from within the conference then across.
- LBA gets the #2 seed because they won their conference. ESF actually won the head-to-head vs LBA.
- Thus, you first compare FriF to ESF and LBA to Pcat.
- Due to the head-to-heads, ESF cannot finish higher than FriF and Pcat cannot finish higher than LBA.
- The tiebreaker after head-to-head and common opponents is "strength-of-victory".
- Dream League interprets strength-of-victory to mean point differential in games won.
- We also cap the point differential in games won at 20, as a blowout is a blowout.
- After FriF and LBA were determined, ESF and Pcat were left over and ESF beat Pcat by strength-of-victory.
That means we have these matchups for 8/15...

AAA-SF season roadmap
FRI 7/23 (1:00PM) -- The latest update has Bad News claiming 7/25 as a bye, but lately Frisco asked for it (then agreed to play an early game when they couldn't get it) and Bay Hype, who will simply be taking a non-fee/advanced-notice forfeit (vs JRich).
TUE 6/22 (2:45PM) -- We have 9 teams, which means 1 team will take a "natural" bye each week. Elite (SF) has already claimed 6/13 as their bye date and the Poorcats have claimed 7/11.
Also, the Poorcats and JRich23.com got off to a slow start, skipping 6/13, and will play a makeup game on 8/8.
Finally, with an odd number of teams and a target of 7 regular season games, one team has to only have 6 games due to the mathematics. That team will be JRich23. There's good and bad with that. The good: they only have to win 3 out of 3 to qualify for playoff double-elimination status. The bad: they don't get to play as many games, period. JRich23 will receive a pro-rated refund of the franchise fees.
Btw, Elite played the Shot Callers on 6/6, but then the Shot Callers got moved to a lower division and paid the gym and scorekeeper fees for that game (I was the scorekeeper, so I didn't charge them anything). As such, we will call that an exhibition game and Elite will still get the standard 7 regular season games against other teams in this division.

BYES: Byes are only allowable
under special circumstances.
If you have a bye later in the season
that is not a formally requested bye,
due to gym fluctuations and other
unforeseen circumstances, that bye is
not locked down; that week's block
of games can still be shuffled around
as necessary until you formally request
that week to be a bye for your team.
GROUND RULES:
1. Please make sure the number of
red rows (games moved from) equals
the number of green rows (games
moved to).
2. Make sure you have 7 regular
season games listed with your
team name.
3. The last 1 or 2 of 7 regular
season games are usually encoded
as inter-conference or other
special type of matchup.
4. The playoffs are pretty much
nailed down, barring unforeseen
circumstances (i.e., no byes!)
5. Any special late bye requests at
this point will require permission
from other teams to shuffle them
around.
6. Special late bye requests can
*usually* be accommodated if your
team plays a double-header some
other week. But sometimes it
depends on if your opponent is
also stuck with a double-header.
