SAT 4/18 (2:15AM) -- Sorry about this, but sometimes Google Maps is just not reliable. I figured this out while inputting into my GPS so I can find my way around LA tomorrow. Pulled up 3 possibilities for Lynwood HS! The old Lynwood HS is now a middle school. Here's the correct one...

THU 4/16 (4:00PM) -- Fyi, the addition of LA Blaze as a replacement for Showtime necessitated a tweak in the pools, since LA Blaze could not play until 3pm or later. See the previous post below about the pools for the correction.

THU 4/16 (1:45PM) -- Btw, one team dropped out: Showtime (not the LA Showtime you know from our tourney years ago). Showtime is a team near Franklin HS, which we left, so that team didn't want to go with the tourney all the way to JHLB. We're real close to getting a replacement, but if not, then I have to pull (another) rabbit out of the hat. If we get our 12th team and the schedule holds, then this is the format for Saturday pool play...
- 4 pools of 3 teams
- Teams in each pool play each other once each for 2 games
So in general, each pool needs to have three games played whereby we will not force any team to play back-to-back. So think of a 5-hour set for each pool, 3 games separated by 1 hour of rest in between (during that rest, we intersperse another pool so the gym time doesn't sit idle).
Therefore, either your team is playing the first 2 out of 3 in the 5-hour set, the second 2 out of 3, or the first and last of the 3. Also, you've got the tipoff requests I posted below, so you can roughly guess what time your game is.
For example, let's say you asked for a tipoff after 1p. Well, chances are you'll get the 1p or 2p first game, then you figure the remainder of your pool either started at 11a or 12p and will finish at 3p or 4p, or maybe after that if your pool started late. But then again our latest tip is 5p, so hint hint!
Maybe that will help you get an idea of when you play without actually having your tipoffs revealed, as we wait for the green light from the powers that be.

- JHLB 10a-6p (5p last tipoff) -- Elite ONLY
- LHS1: 9a-8p (7p last tipoff) -- Elite has 4 games starting midday
- LHS2: 11a-4p (3p last tipoff) -- 6'2" ONLY
You'll notice that LHS1 and LHS2 are "staggered" a little and this is because of many, many logistical issues that I won't bore you with.
