Filcom dethrones Renegades
TUE 9/2 (2:30AM) -- Filcom, the all-star 6FT team from the Hayward-based filcomhoops.org league, became the first non-Delano team to win a dreamleague tournament since Zapatos Locos from LA won the 2005 San Francisco Gold Rush ("SFGR") -- yikes! Team photo imminent and I owe the Renegades a team photo from the LA Showcase too. Btw, if I had to pick an MVP, it would be the Prodigies' Josh Urbiztondo, who averaged more than 30 ppg.

Holy smokes, I never stopped to think about the fact that the Renegades have won 5 out of the previous 7 tourneys! Either the Renegades or Killa Beez have won the last 3 Vegas tourneys. I've been reminded by Jumpmen GM Ferdie Munoz (I guess Robby Lee hasn't read this yet cuz he was there!) that the Jumpmen/Vegas All-Stars collaboration won the 2006 Vegas tourney. Still, that's 4 Renegades champs in the past 7 tourneys! I'll try to get the stats up (and I'm sure you're curious about Urbiztondo), but half of the scoresheets are whacked; obviously the half that I didn't scorekeep!
