Old School Gives Valiant Effort Bowing Out to Shark Tank |

Meanwhile, we're busy compiling them and posting them to the website. OCTOBER 22, 2003 -- #5 Old School put up a valiant fight, but could not catch up to the #1 Shark Tank Boyz in a 46-42 nailbiter on Sunday. Old School had beaten a slightly undermanned #4 Free Agents team previously in the day to advance. But as the #5 seed without the privilege of double-elimination status, Old School has been eliminated. The Free Agents need to stay alive against #2 Play Hard, which also lost a close game to the resurgent #3 Men In Action. Play Hard was also undermanned with only six players and it showed in the 4th quarter. This Sunday will feature the all-out survival of the Losers Bracket. First, we have the Free Agents against Play Hard from the Losers Bracket, then the Winners Bracket game featuring the Shark Tank Boyz versus Men In Action. After our 3-Point Shootout, the winner of the Play Hard-Free Agents matchup will face the *loser* of the Shark Tank-MIA game to see who survives the Losers Bracket and goes onto face the winner of Shark Tank-MIA on 11/2 for the Championship. 3-Point Shootout participants will be named by Thursday, Oct. 23 at 5:00PM. Schedule for 9/28 and beyond has been thus changed. 9/19 - Games back to St. Mary's, new remaining schedule up and running 9/10 - All games temporarily moved to Ira Jinkins Community Center 8/19 - St. Mary's has dropped out of the league. All games against St. Mary's will count as forfeit wins, as they occur each week. |
