| JANUARY 7, 2005 -- With the game deadlocked at 48-48 at the end of the 3rd quarter, Reggie Cooks put #8 Service With A Smile on his shoulders and scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in the 4th quarter to lead his team in scoring with a total of 25 points and 12 rebounds. Daymian Turner added 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Shon Buford took care of blue collar work with 9 rebounds. Service took advantage of the absence of Prime Time's star guard Clint Nadine to advance to the next round against the winner of next Tuesday's #4 Big Dawgs versus #5 Beacon Ballers matchup.
Prime Time got off to slow starts in the 1st and 2nd quarters, opening each of those quarters with 0-for-7 droughts through the first four minutes. But they hung in the game behind Barry Hodge's 10 second quarter points and Kinta Smith's 10 first half points and 5 rebounds. Hodge finished with 18 points, but Smith struggled in the 2nd half, shooting just 3-for-10, and finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Dominic Joshua also had 17 points. Prime Time is now the first team with double-elimination to drop down to the Losers Bracket.
With Leary/Lars and BBCC winning, Prime Time probably won't have a Losers Bracket game until 1/18. | Score by Quarters | Team | Q1 | Q2 | Q3 | Q4 | OT | Total |
