APRIL 27, 2004 -- The season schedule is currently being populated game by game. Please note that the delays have been caused by many factors: complicated bye requests, scorekeeping staff availability, gym reservation difficulties, and the fact that there are multiple teams and players playing in different divisions simultaneously. The following are the known overlaps in rosters; please let us know if we missed something: Gamerz (AAA) & Gamerz (AL) Rayguns (NL) & XMR (AL) Rayguns (NL) & Syuhn (AL) Rayguns (NL) & Gamerz (AL) Rayguns (NL) & Rams (AL) Free Agents (AAA) & XMR (AL) Wildcatz (NL) & Prime Time (AL) Got Rice (AAA) & Blazers (AL) Game Time (NL) & Rams (AL) EB Cards (NL) & Tien (AL) NOTE FOR THE SF TEAMS: Please exercise patience during the first few weeks as it is possible that we may get hit with gym updates that could suddenly interfere with plans (for example, on a Friday). This is due to the fact that the SF Rec & Park Dept is undergoing installation of new management by the Mayor. However, Dream League has been reassured that most problems, if not all, have been ironed out and the gyms are ready for our usage. As the season schedule gets populated, be sure to check the STANDINGS/TEAMS page, clicking on your team's link in the standings to ensure that your team has the right number of games adhering to the AL season format: AL EAST: - Regular season games 1 thru 6 are intra-conference - Intra-conference makeup weekend is 6/13 - Regular season games 7 and 8 are inter-conference (vs opposite conference), on 6/27 and 7/11 - Inter-conference games 7 and 8 are stretched across 3 weeks: 6/20, 6/27, and 7/11, giving more options on byes - 4-week playoff bracket starts 7/18 and will co-mingle both conferences - No games on 5/30 and 7/4 due to national holidays AL WEST: - Regular season games 1 thru 6 are intra-conference - Intra-conference makeup weekend is 6/20 - Regular season games 7 and 8 are inter-conference (vs opposite conference), on 6/27 and 7/11 - You might be able to play your inter-conference game on the 6/20 makeup weekend if you want a bye on 6/27 or 7/11 - Inter-conference game played at the home of the higher-ranked team - We'll try to give one home and one away inter-conference game each, but no guarantees - 4-week playoff bracket starts 7/18 and will co-mingle both conferences - No games on 5/30 and 7/4 due to national holidays Finally, be sure to take care of the following as we get into the hoops groove: (1) Reversible jerseys or dark/white t-shirts with unique numbers on BOTH the front and back. (2) Remaining team/player payments. Teams and/or players will be charged a $5 late fee per player that is not paid by 5/2. Enforcement of this rule is the only way to ensure that players do not forget to come through on their payments. |
