AL-P Cheep Thoughts from 5/18

Remember Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey from Saturday Night Live? Well, here's the Bay Area dreamleague's weekly version: Cheep Thoughts. A collection of my thoughts on each game as I go thru the scoresheets and post scores on the website. One-plus minute per game multipled by about 45-50 games and I can knock this beast out in an hour -- yeah right, it always ends up being double. The idea here is that I do not spend hours upon hours of time coming up with game articles...

AL-P: BJ Kang led TWSS with 23 points, including 13-for-13 from the free throw line, as TWSS defeated AnyWho, 57-42. Danny Ho with 12 points in the loss... The Blazin' Blazers held off the Big Gamerz, 53-48. Dan Gusner with 20 points down low. Jin Kim added 12 points, 15 rebounds. Justin Phan led BGmz with 12 points, but sparkplug point guard Vic Jacobs only had 12 points. Francis Rex added 13 rebounds in the loss. BGmz led by 1 going into the 4th... The Underdogs outlasted Purefoods, 71-69. Some new names to add to the mix: Don Kim with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Ken Yun and the familiar Vince Lau adding 14 each for the Underdogs. Jason Rivera led Pure with 20 points. Pure was without center Marvin Stickel... The Prodigies sneaked past Flip Mode, 66-63. Sunny Margate with 23 points. Prabe Bolaria tallied 30 points and 11 rebounds, 18 of the 30 in the 1st half. The Prodigies only had 5 guys... The 2449 Squad defeated the Ultimate Warriors, 52-45. Richard Chu with 6 treys for 18 points. 2449 was without star guard Taraz Lee. No one on Ultimate, who were without leader Tony Wierzba hit double-digits in scoring... The Underdogs edged Kurruptoin, 71-69. Don Kim, who had 18 points and 11 rebounds, had the deciding free throw. The Underdogs were without pogo stick Nidel Hassan, incidentally. Vince Lau added 16. Deep Basra had 18 points in the loss.
