2007_Spring/Summer AL~Elite (SF/Redwood City/Oakland)

AL-E recaps from 6/17

6/20/2007 8:00AM

JUNE 20, 2007 -- OE succumbed to Five Ten, 41-54. Yih-Wei Chien led the assault with 18 points. Ross Lim joined the Five Ten roster and added 13 points. John Goya had 16 points for OE and Rob Shintaku had another anemic game, going just 2-for-9 from the field. The rest of OE was there, but Alvin Lin, Justin Williams, Joe Kim, and Noore Kadri basically had non-existent stats. OE scored single-digits in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. That's not gonna get it done in the AL-Elite.

The CPA Heads outlasted the Rayguns, 67-55. The Rayguns only had 6 players, 5 for the 2nd half as coach Rich Twu had to play and enlist a member of the AAA-P T.L Bombers to play in the 1st half. By the 2nd half, the Rayguns were far too winded to keep up. The Heads didn't have their big men in Kaju Bhullar or Eric Heidler. Raju Bhullar showed up in the 4th quarter. Glenn Perseveranda lead the Heads with 20 points and John Alolor added 15. Rob Rius led the Rayguns with 17, but shot just 7-for-20 overall and 3-for-11 from downtown. Tim Tully grabbed 15 boards and added 10 points in defeat. Taraz Lee dished out 7 assists, also in defeat. The Rayguns started with a 21-12 lead in the 1st, but got outscored 17-5 in the 4th.
