TEAMS/DIVISIONS: The time has finally come for the championship Japanese/Chinese, IndoPak, and Filipino teams to come together.
While the Filipinos (at least on the West Coast) are always down to play, what has been difficult is coordinating the Japanese/Chinese and IndoPaks' schedules.
Well, we finally have the solution: play it on the same weekend as the Japanese/Chinese LVI!!! Good thing it doesn't coincide with any IndoPak nationals... More info, esp. for LVI teams
The Quick-and-Dirty Thirty-Five
The following is not scientific. It is based purely on Dream League's travels, observations, and hearsay within the tight-knit community.
We think it is actually pretty accurate in the following ways. The Top 9 teams have all won high-quality national tournaments in the past year (2005-06). The next 15 or so have come close (but no cigar), ranging from Final Four finishes to consistent quarterfinals finishes (we're definitely thinking, "What have you done for me lately."). Finally the last 10 or so have made respectable appearances in high-quality national tourneys, yet have not quite gotten over the proverbial hump at the national level.
