UPDATE!: “It is a spec commercial for Doritos. It is about a 70 year old asian lady that eats Doritos and schools all of the young guys at pick up basketball. It is very important that everyone wear dull colors like grey, brown, black, white and that they have clothing that doesn’t have brand names and logos on it.”
Anybody wanna be in a basketball commercial along with the Poor Man’s Commish himself? No, just as an extra, silly! Should be fun, though.

They’re looking for three more ballers of the following ethnicities: Asian, Latino, Caucasian, and/or African-American “pickup” baller.
Kinda weird, but the happy-go-lucky Poor Man’s Commish has been a bit of a magnet for basketball commercials in the past few years. We had the LeBron James one for Microsoft, the one with Jerry Rice, and the one with Jason Kidd. Oh, and how can I forget that internal/confidential research video about the passion of hoops, for one of the big shoe companies, that may or may not eventually lead to another commercial for said corporate behemoth.
I know this much: for tomorrow, they are casting an Asian as the lead. Also, I checked out Evolve’s previous work and, while I have no clue whom the commercial is for (yet) or if I’ll ever be allowed to say, it looks as if they’ve done some quality work for local companies like 24-Hour Fitness, Monster.com, and the like. So who knows. I hope to have a full report for you soon. In the meantime, spread the word. We got about 24 hours to fill these spots!
