Living the dream: Stephen Curry.
For some strange reason, interesting things tend to come in threes. Sometimes the stuff that crosses a Poor Man’s Commish’s desk — it may take awhile to develop — but the first one is pretty cool, the second one is a nice follow-up, but the third one, that just seems to frame a nice picture.
With that, here’s the first installment of ourĀ Three-Point Play.
Many dreamleaguers often wonder what it’s like to get recruited by a D-1 school, play for a D-1 school, and then make it to the NBA. Well, now you can get the real-life experiences with diaries from Harrison Barnes, KJ Matsui, and Stephen Curry.
Barnes is a hot recruit currently being courted by the major college programs…

- Official visit to Kansas (10/22/2009)
- Official visit to Duke (10/29/2009)

Matsui played at Columbia University in NYC and is the first Japanese-born player to play college D-1. He is currently playing pro in Japan. He may have even played in Dream League NY or an East Coast Asian tournament, but DLNY’ers will have to clue us into that. His diaries give you an inside look on what it’s like to be a D-1 player…

Being a recruit, then a student-athlete, then a pro balla sure seems like a lot of fun, but don’t forget it’s a lot of work too. If you don’t make it, remember, you can always play with a lot less pressure and guys fighting for your spot, by playing right here in Dream League. Of course, you’d probably need some kind of steady job, but we’ll always be here to help you live the dream!
