Last night’s foray on NBA League Pass on TV as well as Broadband yielded the following six games, as followed on @nbalivetweet: a blasé 34 points by Kobe Bryant in an expected toying of the Knicks, the Thunder turning the Jazz into an average-looking team, the Nets not pulling a miracle and going 0-14 against the dominant Nuggets, another Warriors upset over the Mavericks with only six players suited up, another Raptors outburst in the first half with 74 points, and the Wizards barely beating the Sixers in a heartfelt matchup on the night of Abe Pollin’s passing.

Since there were only six games yesterday, let’s keep the countdown to ocho:

#8: Next time the Raptors are on, I’m tuning in. 74 pts 1st half! 69 pts 1st half last Fri.

#7: There’s no way the Warriors win tonite at Spurs, after playing 3 guys 48 mins, Monta Ellis cramping late, if only 6 players avail again

#6: Gilbert Arenas is good, but he’s not playing like a max contract player

#5: If Nick Young keeps this up, winning a mano-y-mano matchup vs Andre Iguodala, he’s a bonafide starter in the NBA

#4: JaVale McGee is a Poor Man’s Chris Birdman Andersen

#3: Andre Iguodala either doesn’t know how good he is or Eddie Jordan is holding him back

#2: For a guy playing 48 minutes and calves cramping, Monta Ellis sure is fast!

JR Smith and other Nuggets had ferocious dunks tonight.

I recently bought myself, in reverse chronological order as it were, a 46″ Spectre LCD TV from Walmart for $750, and DirecTV Choice Package ($29.99/mo until 2011) with HD receiver (free) and NBA League Pass (4 payments of about $42). Oh, not to mention a Dual Core Pentium laptop with Vista Home Premium from Staples for only $350.

Couldn’t be happier.

It took the free accompanying NBA League Pass Broadband account awhile to finally get approved — and I’ll write about it later — but all these things combined simultaneously is, in short, incredible! Worth a future blogpost to explain the nitty gritty, for sure, and the motives are business-related as well as pleasure, as will be revealed in due time.

Meanwhile, I’d like to start a new feature called Lessons of NBA League Pass: Tonight’s Top Ten.

Every now and then, I’ll find myself on the low-key. Might be tomorrow. Might not be for another week. Two weeks. A month. Truly, it depends on my workload and family commitments. But when I get in that zone of flipping around and watching the league’s talent on display, I’ll share what I learned with you.

7. Carlos Boozer. Bottle up and sell that Free Throw shooting potion you got there!

6. LeBron James even makes 6′8″ Thaddeus Young look small. LBJ should be the MVP for the next 3+ years.

5. Andre Iguodala is soft.

4. Deron Williams is an under-rated shot blocker/disruptor. He needs more respect from refs.

3. Never count Brandon Jennings out. 22 of 26 pts in 2nd half. Bucks tickets worth every penny.

2. The Nuggets are ferocious. Violent dunks by Melo, Birdman, K-Mart, and oh esp JR Smith. Wow!

1. Young teams will cower to big throwdown plays. Witness 76ers (vs Cavs) and Bulls (vs Nuggets).
